How does A Magnetostrictive Sensor work?

 

A magnetostrictive level sensor uses a pulsed current to create a magnetic field. This field interacts with magnets inside a float, generating a sound wave that travels back to the sensor. By measuring the travel time, the sensor accurately determines the liquid level.
