Cylinder Application Notes


Cylinder Installation - The pressure-resistant round tube housing sensor is usually installed inside the cylinder, and the installation thread specifications include: M18X1.5, M20X1.5, 3/4"-16UNF-3A. Before installation, you need to make sure that the cylinder has been processed according to the correct size given in the atlas.


Mechanical Installation - The sensor has no requirements for the installation position and direction, but it must be installed firmly and reliably. The position magnet is installed on the moving part to be measured and maintains an appropriate distance from the measuring rod
Position Magnet - To ensure the accuracy of the measurement, the mounting bracket of the position magnet must be made of non-magnetic materials, such as screws, magnetic isolation gaskets, etc.

How to select sensor range according to oil cylinder ?


When selecting sensor range for existing oil cylinder, ensure that the sensor range includes the oil cylinder piston rod stroke, that is, the sensor range 0 point is before the piston rod stroke begins, and the sensor range end point is after the piston rod stroke ends.
