Precautions for Torque Sensor Installation
After selecting the type, the installation of the torque sensor is also a very important step. The specific requirements are:
1. Power equipment, sensors, and load equipment should be installed on a solid foundation to avoid excessive vibration, otherwise data instability may occur, reduce measurement accuracy, and even damage the sensor.
2. It is connected by elastic pin coupling or rigid coupling. In the case of large vibration or coaxiality greater than 0.05mm, it is recommended to use a flexible coupling and install bearing brackets at the left and right ends of the sensor.
3. Adjust the center height and coaxiality of the power equipment, load, and sensor separately, requiring less than 0.05mm, and then fix it;
Installation Precautions:
Operating environment: It should be installed in an environment with an ambient temperature of 0°C to 60°C, a relative humidity of less than 90%, and no flammable or explosive products. It should not be installed in an environment with strong electromagnetic interference.
After the above conditions are met, the torque sensor can be operated according to the specific installation steps:
1. According to the connection form of the shaft and the length of the torque sensor, determine the distance between the prime mover and the load, adjust the distance between the axis of the prime mover and the load relative to the reference plane, so that the coaxiality of their axes is less than Φ0.03mm, Secure the prime mover and load on the datum plane.
2. Install the couplings on their respective shafts.
3. Adjust the distance between the sensor and the reference plane so that the coaxiality of its axis with the axis of the prime mover and the load is less than Φ0.03mm, and fix the torque sensor on the reference plane.
4. Fasten the coupling and the installation is complete.
