What You Want to Know About Dynamic Torque Sensors
The dynamic torque sensor is a non-contact high-speed rotating sensor. Due to its high measurement quality and low linear error, the sensor has always had an advantage in torque measurement products. The dynamic torque sensor adopts non-contact design, and it is very suitable for long-term rotation torque measurement and high-speed rotation torque measurement environment because there are no wearing parts. Whether it is in the production line or test bench or test machine test system, the dynamic torque sensor is the best choice.
The Dynamic Torque Transducer utilizes our unique non-contact differential transformer torque measurement technology which offers many advantages, not least the absence of electronic components rotating during operation. The dynamic torque sensor can measure high speed, the speed is up to 18000 rpm. Each model has an integrated regulating electronics module providing a torque output and an open collector speed output. The dynamic torque sensor is extremely reliable, offering high overload protection, excellent long-term stability and high noise immunity.
/ Measuring principle of dynamic torque sensor /
Bonded strain gauge technology is used, where the strain gauge is bonded to an appropriately designed shaft. Torque transducers with circular shafts and strain gauges are applied at 45 degrees and this design has been around for many years. However, the design and configuration of the device will be dictated by the application, and the shaft can be solid or hollow, and the cross-section can vary from cruciform, square, or other custom designs in order to obtain maximum signal output. Available from measurements. Shear stress is induced when torsion is applied to a shaft causing it to twist. These are measured by bonding the strain gauges at 45° to the horizontal torque axis. Since the shear stress induced in the shaft is the same throughout its length, strain gauges can be incorporated at any point along its length. However, it is common practice to place them in the center, as far away as possible from spurious stresses that might be induced at the mechanical interface.
/ Application range of dynamic torque sensor /
The dynamic torque sensor is a precision measuring instrument for measuring various torques, speeds and mechanical power. Wide range of applications, mainly used for:
1. Detection of output torque and power of rotating power equipment such as electric motors, engines, and internal combustion engines.
2. Detection of the torque and power of fans, water pumps, gearboxes, and torque wrenches.
3. Torque and power detection in railway locomotives, automobiles, tractors, airplanes, ships, and mining machinery.
4. It can be used to detect the torque and power in the sewage treatment system.
5. It can be used to manufacture viscometers.
6. It can be used in process industry and process industry.
/ Dynamic Torque Installation Requirements /
1. Measure the shaft diameter and center height of the sensor.
2. Use two sets of couplings to install the belt torque sensor between the power source and the load.
3. The sensor can be connected by rigid or elastic coupling. When the vibration is large and the concentricity is less than 0.2mm and greater than 0.05mm, it is recommended to use an elastic coupling. When the installation concentricity exceeds 0.2mm, it is strictly forbidden to use it. If it is connected by a universal joint, the concentricity can be appropriately larger.
4. Power and load equipment must be fixed and reliable to avoid vibration.
5. Fix the base of the torque signal sensor and the base of the equipment reliably to avoid bending moment.
6. Regardless of whether the standard sensor is installed horizontally or vertically, the sensor is not allowed to bear excessive axial force and bending moment, otherwise it will affect the use of the sensor and even cause damage to the sensor.
