The correct application of various liquid level sensors
Ultrasonic liquid level sensor
The ultrasonic liquid level sensor sends out ultrasonic pulses, and the sound waves are reflected by the liquid surface and converted into electrical signals by the ultrasonic receiver, and the distance between the sensor and the measured liquid surface is calculated by the time between the emission and reception of the sound waves.
If there are obstacles under the position where the liquid level sensor is installed, then it is not suitable to use the ultrasonic liquid level sensor. Obstacles will affect the ultrasonic emission and cause signal loss; it is necessary to adjust or avoid the appearance of obstacles.
With non-contact measurement, problems such as liquid viscosity and corrosion will not be affected, and it is more hygienic.
Capacitive liquid level sensor
The principle of capacitive sensing, when the height of the measured electrode dipped into the measured medium changes, its capacitance changes. Convert the change of the liquid level into a standard current signal, and send it out for alarm or automatic control.
The capacitive liquid level sensor cannot be used if the liquid is placed in a container of metal material, and the capacitive liquid level sensor after the wall thickness has passed.
If the container cannot be opened or not opened, it is recommended to use a capacitive liquid level sensor.
Float type liquid level sensor
The float type liquid level sensor pushes the float with a magnet to move up and down by the buoyancy of the liquid, so that the internal reed switch sends a signal on and off.
Float type liquid level sensor
